Download the two bark pattern pages.<br \/>\n2. Participate virtually by watching the YouTube video below.<br \/>\n3. Take a screen shot and sketch the pattern and put it in your nature notebook.<br \/>\n5. <strong>Follow&#8211;up activity #1<\/strong>\u00a0 &#8211; identify trees in your neighborhood\/park by their bark pattern and create a bar graph.<br \/>\n4. <strong>Follow&#8211;up activity #2\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong> Watch the second video by Jeff Saslow, a St. Louis Park teacher, on making bark rubbings, then go out and make some bark rubbings in your neighborhood\/park. Put the labeled rubbings in your nature notebook.<\/p>\n<p><em>I hope this week&#8217;s nature school will inspire you to explore nature with your parents\/ friends and try to identify trees in your neighborhood\/park by the bark.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tree Bark Patterns<\/strong><br \/>\nBelow are two pages of tree bark patterns.
