Qu\u00e9 es tejate? Tejate es una bebida de los Zapotecas que se origin\u00f3 en Huayapam. Los Zapotecas son una gente ind\u00edgena de Oaxaca. La cultura Zapoteca es m\u00e1s de dos mil quinientos a\u00f1os. Los Zapotecas eran granjeros, artistas, guerreros, y constructores de pir\u00e1mides.\u00a0 El tejate es conocido por curar problemas con el est\u00f3mago. Los ingredientes son ma\u00edz, cacao, la rosita de cacao, y la semilla de mamey. Durante la preparaci\u00f3n, todos los ingredientes se tostaron en un comal y despu\u00e9s se molieron en un molino. Todo el processo tarda, por los menos, cuatro horas.<\/p>\n

Los ingredientes se mezclan a mano y es necesario que la tejatera es muy fuerte. El tejate necesita tener la cantidad exacta para el color y el sabor. Pero eso, depende de la preferencia de la tejatera. La Se\u00f1ora Maria Isabel mezcl\u00f3 el tejate con su mano y a\u00f1adi\u00f3 agua por medio hora. Durante este tiempo, ella tuvo que revisar si grumos en la tejate. El color de la t\u00e9jate cambia de caf\u00e9 a blanco y cuando hay muchas espuma encima del tejate, la bebida est\u00e1 lista para probar.<\/p>\n
The ingredients are mixed by hand and it is necessary that the tejatera is very strong. Tejate needs to have the exact amount of each ingredient for the color and taste. But this depends upon the preference of the tejatera. La Senora Maria Isabel mixed the ingredients by hand and added water for half an hour.
